We got the call last night. From all people, the listing agent – yes, the one we weren’t ever supposed to call – that the negotiator for the bank said they had approved the sale. Yippee!
Crap we’ve only been waiting for god-only-knows how long. It’s about time.
Wait – we submitted our offer on January 16th, found out on May 12th… subtract the circumference of the earth, divide by zero… carry the remainder, I think it comes out to 116 days. Holy crap; I’m God. I freakin’ knew it.
Ahem. Anyway. So yeah. I guess it was meant to be, too. When we originally submitted the loan application, the rates were at about 5.3% with a point, today we walked in and they were offering – today only, they said – 4.8% with NO points. WOW. Our realtor, when I told him about how we were in a hurry to wrap up the loan app today, was so flabbergasted he said he might have to go get a loan and buy something just to take part in the fun.
Cool. Got the house. Now, we just have to drop some $20k in the span of a month. Wait, what? Crap.
