US-Iranian reporter freed

I have been keeping tabs on this story, about a US-Iranian journalist who was accused & sentenced for spying. It would seem that the charges are probably baseless, as has been stated numerous times in the press by just about everyone in any administration.

Which I suppose might mean she’s actually the highest-level operative we have, who knows, right? It’s not like people come out and say “hey this is our top-secret spy, Frank, and he’ll be working inside your country for a while.”

Anyway. I bring it up because in
reading today that she had effectively been released (figured that would happen), I came across this sentence:

”She had gone on a hunger strike in prison recently to protest her jailing but ended it after two weeks for health reasons.”

L.O.L. That’s dedication, folks. You can tell she thought that one through, eh? Wow.
